The Winter Cycling Congress will take place at the Commons Hotel on the East Bank of the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities campus. Congress activities will be concentrated on the second floor of the hotel all three days. The exception is mobile tours. Mobile tour participants will meet their tour guide in the designated meeting spots in the first floor lobby before venturing out.

Delegates are eligible for a discounted rate of 120 USD per night, if they register by FRIDAY, 22 January. To make your reservation, call  or or make a reservation online.

How to reach the venue?

The Commons is located on the East Bank of the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities. Exit the Green Line Light-Rail train at the East Bank Station and then walk one block east to reach the hotel. If you bike to the hotel, there will be bike parking behind the hotel in the northwest corner near Southeast Harvard Street.

The Tuesday evening program will take place in the theater where Keynotes will be presented by Jason Hall and Mike Lydon. Then, we’ll take a short break for drinks and light refreshments. The evening will end with the pecha kucha session.

How to reach Coffman?

Coffman is a five-minute walk west from The Commons along University Avenue Southeast.

The Wednesday evening bike parade will start in the driveway in front of The Commons Hotel. We’ll ride a five-mile loop along the Mississippi River and end our parade just down the street from where we started at the Weisman Art Museum. Drinks and light appetizers will be provided and exhibits will be open.

How to reach WAM?

Hop on your bike and follow the bike parade route or meet us at WAM, it is a 5-7 minute walk from The Commons and right next door to Coffman Memorial Union (the site of the Tuesday evening program).

Saint Paul Winter Carnival

The Thursday evening social events will begin at the Winter Carnival where you can tour the ice palace, listen to live music or grab a drink from the ice bar. Then, head over to Amsterdam Bar, 6 West 6th Street, for more live music and bike trivia, which begins at 7:00 p.m.

How to reach downtown Saint Paul?

Hop on the Green Line eastbound to Saint Paul Union Depot and ride until the Central Station & Platform. After exiting the train, walk southeast on Cedar Street toward 4th Street East, turn right on 4th Street East and walk 3 blocks.
